Privacy Policy

TTS Phailbot ("the Service") is operated by Phailbot. This policy describes what data we collect, why, and how it is handled. It covers everyone who uses the Service, including viewers using the Twitch extension panel and broadcasters who connect their channel.

Data We Collect

• Twitch User ID, username, and display name — provided by Twitch when you use the Service. Used to save your voice preference and identify you across sessions.
• Voice preferences — your selected voice, speed, pitch, volume, and effect settings. Stored so your TTS voice persists between visits.
• IP address and browser user-agent — recorded when you load the panel or sign in. Used for security review and to investigate abuse.
• Subscription status — checked via the Twitch API to determine access to premium voices. We do not store your subscription details.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your password, payment information, or any data beyond what is listed above.
• We do not use cookies for tracking. Session cookies are used only for authentication and expire after at most 24 hours.
• We do not share data with advertisers or third parties unrelated to the Service.

How Data Is Used

Your data is used solely to provide TTS voice configuration for the broadcaster's stream and to operate the Service. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or any purpose unrelated to the Service.

Where Data Is Stored

Data is stored on a server operated by Phailbot. Voice preferences are synced with the broadcaster's TTS application for playback. All connections use HTTPS encryption.

Data Retention

• Voice preferences — stored indefinitely (so your voice persists). You can change your voice at any time, which overwrites the previous preference.
• Access logs (IP, user-agent) — automatically purged after a fixed retention window.
• Session data — expires within 24 hours (sooner after a few minutes of inactivity).

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Access Levels page on your dashboard. After requesting deletion, there is a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the request by logging back in. After 30 days, your account and all data are permanently removed.

You can also revoke the Service's access from your Twitch account settings, which stops further data collection.

Third-Party Services

The Service communicates with Twitch APIs (for authentication and subscription checks) and the broadcaster's TTS application (for voice playback). No other third parties receive your data.
